Welcome to WordCamp Europe!!
WordCamp Europe is an informal, community-organised gathering of WordPress enthusiasts – from casual users to Core developers – where we discuss all things WordPress, share ideas and get to know each other.
But… what is WordPress?
WordPress is the world’s largest Content Management System, powering over 43% (January 2022) of all the sites on the web, including those of the White House, Mercedes-Benz… and even Beyoncé.
Not only is WordPress the world’s largest CMS, but it’s also open-source, which essentially means that it’s free to use!
Previous Editions
Over the last few years, WordCamp Europe has been in Porto, Portugal (2022), Athens, Greece (2023) and recently in Torino, Italy (2024). You can see what we got up to on the dedicated event websites.!
What to do at WordCamp Europe
There’s always a lot going on at WordCamp Europe and this year’s event will be no different. From the many talks taking place across the three days to the chance to educate yourself by attending one of the many hands-on sessions and workshops plus networking with all the attendees.
A full schedule of sessions will allow you to choose which topics interest you. Typically there will be a broad selection of subjects aimed at all levels of WordPress knowledge and experience, following the inclusivity ethos we firmly believe in. We run multiple talks at the same time and split them into ‘tracks’.
In addition to the talks, you can meet our sponsors, from very large companies to smaller niche ones. You can meet and talk to them, take part in product demos, and chat with their employees.
You will also be able to meet people, chatting with other attendees gives you the opportunity to get to know other members of the WordPress community, someone you’ve followed on Twitter, in user groups or to catch up with a familiar face from a previous WordCamp. WCEU is the ideal place to meet friends, old and new.
An event for all levels
We work hard to ensure that the sessions cater for all abilities and levels of knowledge.
Every year we have people coming along who have only just started with WordPress as well as those who have been using it from the beginning.
Remember, everyone started on their WordPress journey as a newbie too!
How to contribute
In addition to the conference, there will be a chance to contribute at the Contributor day. A special day where both new and experienced members of the community meet and learn about the different ways one can get involved in the WordPress project.
Contributor Day is for everyone! All skills and levels of experience are welcome and needed.

Workshops
At WordCamp Europe, we’ve a range of workshops taking place during the main conference – these are great opportunities for you to ‘get your hands dirty’ solving real problems and learning new skills along the way, such as coding, design or marketing. These sessions are full-on immersive experiences where you’ll be learning whilst working on specific tasks, intending to support you in applying them to your daily work. Workshop spaces are therefore limited – we can only have so many people in each session due to the nature of how these teaching and learning sessions take place.
We will soon share more details regarding workshop registration.
